I tried this and found that--with Visual Studio 2010 at least--any such change I make directly to the .csproj file using a text editor gets undone once I load that project into Visual Studio, then save it, then reload it. This works: λ mkdir ~ /testscript && cd ~ /testscript λ dotnet script new test.csx λ dotnet script publish test.csx
